It’s A Southern Tradition is the first of the Sweeteas Series. While the Sweeteas invites little girls from all over the South to join in their sisterhood, it also makes a great gift for baby showers, flower girls, bridesmaids, girlfriends, women who love the South, women who miss the South, those who need to understand the South, and especially Grandmothers, Mimis, Nanas, Yayas, Lalas, GiGis, Grammies, Nannies, and Grands who just want to share the South with their very own Sweeteas.

We have the YaYa’s, the G.R.I.T.S, and the Sweet Potato Queens,
So we thought it was about time for the lil’ Sweeteas.
They call me Precious, and I don’t mean to boast,
But my accent and mannerisms are admired by most.
My best friends and I call ourselves the lil’ Sweeteas.
For starters, there’s Honey, Darlin’, Princess, and Sweet Pea.
We hail from nine of the most charming cities in the South,
And we’re sure to touch your heart, so that you can’t live with out.
They say we are hospitable, and to that we must be true.
The Sweeteas agree we should share this with you.
From Natchez to Nashville this should be a piece of cake,
But for our New York girls, a few extra lessons it may take.
Regardless, the Sweeteas think you’ll have a ball,
‘Cause we’ll have you saying “Bless Your Heart” like you mean it,
in no time at all!!! You’ll be wearing big ol’ hats and flaunting your pearls,
And doing pinky promises with the rest of us sweet Southern Girls.
If you prove worthy of our letters to wear, We have many secrets that we’ll gladly share.
For starters an honorary member you will be,
But after the “Secret of the Pearls” you’ll be an “official” Sweetea!!!!
